Join bestselling author, journalist and broadcaster John Kampfner as he discusses his new book In Search of Berlin: The Story of a Reinvented City. He will be joined in conversation by academic and leading expert on German politics, Dr Ed Turner from Aston University.

King Edward's School is delighted to be welcoming author, journalist, broadcaster and expert on Germany John Kampfner, who will be talking about his new book In Search of Berlin: The Story of a Reinvented City. He will discuss the fascinating history of Berlin and its wider significance for Germany and Europe. One reviewer (Jonathan Freedland) described the book in the following terms: 'Berlin may well be Europe's most enigmatic city and John Kampfner - curious, sceptical and with an eye for the arresting detail - is the ideal guide'. John Kampfner's last book, Why the Germans Do It Better, was a Sunday Times bestseller and was widely acclaimed. John Kampfner will be joined in conversation by Dr Ed Turner (Aston University), who is a leading academic expert on German and European politics. We are very excited to host two fascinating experts on Germany who will share a wealth of experience and knowledge.
