This year, our annual telethon be running from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 20th July and we can’t wait to connect with our alumnae, parents and friends over the two-week period.
The telethon gives us a great opportunity to speak to you and update you on what’s happening at the school. For our alumnae in particular, it’s a chance to share your fond memories of the school with our Upper Sixth callers*, who really do like to hear of your stories and how much of an impact KEHS made on you. It also offers our wider school community the chance to find out more about our Assisted Places Fund and the transformational impact this makes each year.
Since 2014, our annual telethon has been a vital element in fundraising for our Assisted Places Fund and has opened doors for many able girls to a KE education, regardless of the financial situation of their families.
We are most grateful for the support we receive during the telethon. Regular gifts will enable sustained funding and will ensure that we can continue to provide Assisted Places. By giving to the Assisted Places Fund, you will be making a difference.

Thank you for considering giving to our Assisted Places Fund. We sincerely hope you enjoy the call**
*Our callers are Upper Sixth pupils who have been recruited through an interview process. We pay for their time throughout the two-week period, and they receive comprehensive training prior to making their first calls. Not only do they gain new and develop existing transferable skills, but they also learn more about KEHS, its history and how the Assisted Places Fund continues to transform the lives of pupils and those around them. The new transferable skills they learn enhance their CVs and the timing of the telethon also ensures they have plenty of time over the summer before embarking on their next challenge.
**If you are unavailable during this period or would prefer not to receive a call this year, please let us know by emailing development@keschools.org.uk by Thursday 3rd July.

Our sixth form callers from KEHS
Anne-Laure – I have been at KEHS for seven years, and during my time I have especially enjoyed learning sciences, leading to my interest in studying medicine. In my free time, I play netball and flute. At KEHS, I have been involved in the Symphony Orchestra, and I have run the Photography Club with my friends for several years.
I am looking forward to making connections with Old Edwardians, some of whom may share my interests!
Derwent – Whilst trips to locations such as Iceland and the ‘Battlefields’ tour have greatly supplemented my learning, in school activities, such as becoming a club runner, EDI representative and joining stage crew, have also improved my interpersonal skills and confidence. I am interested in studying aspects of the ‘Earth Sciences’, taking the subjects which reflect this in Sixth Form.
Additionally, I am a keen musician and have relished participating in ensembles such as ‘Symphony Orchestra’ and ‘Choral Society’ as both an alto and harpist. I look forward to hopefully contributing towards the future of KEHS and cannot wait to hear about the Old Eds’ experiences at our school!
Ektaa – At school, I have particularly enjoyed taking part in ‘Stagecrew’, working to help put on the Junior and Senior productions. One of my favourite memories from KEHS has been the annual Karaoke competitions, which I helped organise in Lower Sixth. As a student caller, I am looking forward to getting a chance to make a difference for my school community.
Shalu – I am currently a year 13 pupil at KEHS. Over the years, I have been involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities such as being the principal oboist in the KES/KEHS symphony orchestra, as well as various other music ensembles which I have enjoyed immensely. I have also enjoyed taking part in both drama and dance productions during my time here. Looking ahead, I hope to study Italian and French at the University of Oxford in October.
