Students at King Edward VI High School for Girls, Edgbaston are celebrating another outstanding year of A Level results with 33% of grades at A* and 73% A*/A grades. Remarkably, 13 students out of a year group of 75 achieved 3 or more A*s, and 13 will now take up places at Oxford and Cambridge.
Upper Fifth pupil Lauren has been named the 21st winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year. After progressing through the Keyboard category on 4th May, and the semi-finals on the 11th, Lauren took to the stage to play her final piece: Prokofiev’s fiendish ‘Piano Concerto No 2’.

Last night, King Edward VI High School for Girls was awarded the Fundraising Initiative of the Year award at the Tes Independent School Awards 2018. The award recognises the enthusiasm and dedication of the Sixth Form pupils in our Trust Club, embedding student engagement within our campaign for Assisted Places.
On Thursday 30th November, we welcomed parents, governors and VIPs to KEHS for Speech Day – a celebration of this year’s phenomenal GCSE results, and the hard work that made those results possible. Our special guest speaker was Kate Goldman-Toomey, Class of 1996 and Director of Partnerships & Philanthropy at UNICEF UK.
