WW1 Centenary Mural Unveiled

On Friday 9th November, Old Edwardian and Chair of The KEHS Trust, Judy Dyke, unveiled the KEHS WW1 Centenary Mural.

This very special painting resides on the complementary wall to the St George and the Dragon mural. It features a number of scenes from around the city during WW1, each of them related to the school and our community. On the right are a number of Old Edwardians and friends of the school who contributed to the war effort, including Old Edwardian diarist Dorothy Priest and headmistress Miss Major.

The mural was designed and painted by a number of Old Edwardians, including several members of the Class of 2018, Chair of the BGOEC Annette Duffy, and committee member Cas Britton. It will stand as our Roll of Honour, commemorating the KEHS girls who contributed to the war effort, both on the home front and abroad.
